FSCS protected, free banking, easy signup.

FSCS protected, free banking with integrated accounting software (FreeAgent - on of the best). Honestly, I found it hard to believe all this was free when I signed up 4 years ago. I'm a sole trader and I've never had any issues with the Mettle App nor the integration with FreeAgent. I'm just about to start using the savings pot feature. I've recommended Mettle to 3 other people to date. Reviewed on: 8th April 2026

Mettle are very good for a scaling small business like mine. They support with a range of free services and a very useable app with a lot of features. The integration with Freeagent is extremely useful and helps me with things like MTD. Reviewed on: 8th April 2026

Easy to use

This is a great app for my self-employed work – it helps to keep my business expenses separate and I really like the integration with FreeAgent. The account is free and easy to use, and I've created a tax pot to save a percentage of my tax automatically (as well as a savings pot). It meets what I need for my self-employed work.
