Avoid this service at all costs.

I am extremely disappointed with Monese. My account has been blocked/disabled, and I am unable to perform any operations, whether internal or external transactions, or even use my card. To make matters worse, my savings are completely locked, and the customer support is unresponsive. I have sent numerous emails, attaching all required bank statements, but all I receive are the same automated replies with no actual resolution or communication from their team. This has been a frustrating and stressful experience, and I wouldn’t recommend trusting Monese with your money. Avoid this service at all costs. Reviewed on: 17th January 2025

Monese is a bunch of thieves !

Monese is a bunch of thieves !! They closed and blocked my account. I can´t do nothing to have my money of refunds back. I can't have the money of payments returns. I damaged my mobile phone and replaced it 8-10weeks ago. I'm using a new handset now. I work on a building site and damages can occur easily. I have used this app for 5-6 years. As soon as I download the monese app on my new handset, I was asked basic ID questions had my face pic taken, the account stopped working. My wages were paid into this account, which I have been unable to withdraw or transfer. I have a family with kids to provide for. I quickly changed my banking details to a reliable bank, reported this matter to the fca ombudsman, banking authority and local police fraud service. I have asked for my account to be closed, a 5 year bank transaction statement to be sent via pdf and my fund transferred. I have emailed ever day for 10 weeks now but nothing. None of this has been actioned. I, four years ago, sent my new mobile number/email address which has not been updated. It's a really sick and disgusting service. I've sent my ID and all details over but nothing. The account is still blocked. I have calculated the interested that occurred and will be passing this onto Monese ltd along with a compensation request of £9.745.04 I simply want to close this account The stress this has but on me is too much. And you can not call anyone because of my work I have been checked several Times and you are criminalised by them.and they do not answer your email.Lying they did not get any alternatíve account details.They are criminals.they want your money they closed my account with 70 Euro.but if you have your salary ön this account? Scammers - Stay away!

Like hundreds (or even thousands) of people before me already wrote, Monese became a piece of garbage of a company, they keep blocking customers' accounts for no particular reason, out of the blue you just get an email letting you know that your account has been closed with all your money blocked. I only used this card to make small purchases while abroad and only transferred money when I needed it so luckily I only had a very small amount on the card but many people had all their savings on their accounts and apparently there is no customer service, nobody replies? I wonder what is going to happen but it looks like to me that Monese might declare bankruptcy soon so I suggest everybody take your money and run. This company is not a bank, they are a gang of scammers and fraudsters. If you had any business with them and got scammed, your account got blocked and your money taken, report them to every possible authority. This is the only way to have a chance at getting your money back. If you are thinking about opening an account: just don't. Choose Revolut, Wise, N26 or any other reputable online bank but stay clear from this piece of crap. Reviewed on: 14th May 2022

Blocked my account

They have frozen my account and left left me in poverty. I am disabled and will have to use a food bank. Terrible! Please post a review on either the AppStore or Android if your having issues. It’s the only way they’ll respect their customers. Reviewed on: 12th May 2022

how I unfroze my account

had my account frozen for no reason, no one responded to my email with a an actual reason as to why. Had to contact SolverX to solve this for me and that's how I got my money back Reviewed on: 4th April 2022
