About this product

Monzo offer a free bank account for under 16s, with controls set by their parent or guardian.

Kids get their own neon card and can see their money in the Monzo app. Parents or Guardians can keep an eye on the account, set spending limits and schedule pocket money.

Simple and joyful to use. Transferring money to my daughter’s account is brilliant, immediate access and payment notifications. I have had issues with card use in the past, resolving those issues were easy staff were easy contactable and made it a joyful experience. Reviewed on: 12th February 2026

Got the message to sign up for access once released. Didn't wait long before I got the message ready to set up under 16s account. Easy and just what we need. All in my account so its easy to manage. And my daughter has her own access with her card. Very good for what we needed. Reviewed on: 11th February 2026
