Monzo offer a free bank account for under 16s, with controls set by their parent or guardian.

Kids get their own neon card and can see their money in the Monzo app. Parents or Guardians can keep an eye on the account, set spending limits and schedule pocket money.

This helps so much with my daughter we don't really carry cash so this is really good. She gets her pocket money instantly she can save it or use it I can see exactly what it gets used for. I can give her some extra money for helping around the house too. She says it the best she can see the money going in when she finishes a task. Reviewed on: 9th April 2025

Great Bank

I swapped to Monzo after a very difficult journey with a high street bank. Since swapping to Monzo I have also set up 3 kids accounts. I’ve not had this option available before and my kids love it. They have their own cards and accounts. It’s perfect. Reviewed on: 7th April 2025
