Every Monday I used to get a text from my bank saying I was into an emergency overdraft and that I need to rectify it of risk paying £5/day. I was spending too much over the weekends. I wasn’t in control of how much I was spending. Since moving to Monzo I can accurately see how much is going out of my account the moment it happens - I keep better track of my finances. Speedy customer service by real people that care, instant spending notifications, track your spending on a map, freeze your card whenever you like, separate savings into different pots, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. At the minute, Monzo is lacking in features but boy does it make up for this in other areas. If you ever have to contact the customer service, they very quickly resolve your issue and it's always done with a smile (or a few gifs and emjois). The realtime notifications and pots are amazing, they have helped me budget more successfully and for once, be confident in my finances. Reviewed on: 16th January 2018

Coming from out of the UK, this has been the most amazing banking experience I've ever had - and I had A LOT. From not being able to open an account with most of major banks because I failed their "we-only-thought-of-the-happy-path" KYC tests to support. It's just MILES better than what any other bank is giving to their customers at this point. Not even close, in fact. Plus, amazing community and people behind it :) Very, very strongly recommend.
