Best bank there is!

Monzo has been incredibly helpful to me in terms of budgeting, as well as saving. I make great use of Bills Pots which help me move the money to one side, the budgeting features are amazing and really help you know exactly where your money is going and how much you have left for the month. Being able to have all bank interactions from your phone is transformational during a pandemic

I've read about a traditional bank (Barclays I think?) customer, a pensioner, being forced to go into branch to continue to access their money. I expect that with Monzo now having millions of customers, there being no branches has averted some cases of coronavirus transmission by now, and maybe some lives. Reviewed on: 12th April 2021

Best bank ever - Monzo takes care of all the heavy lifting for me

I always found budgeting to time consuming - everything had to be done manually by copying and pasting into a spreadsheet, or by just keeping a running tally of all my expenses and plans in my head. This meant that while I wasn't terrible at money management, I wasn't saving as much as I could and I also didn't think of the little things like rounding spare change into a piggy bank. I started using Monzo back in 2016 or 2017 and immediately feel in love with the pay anyone / split bill features. Then I was desperate to start having my salary paid into it so I can take full advantage of the budgeting features. Once they became a stable, mainstream bank I went "full monzo" (ca late 2018) and I haven't looked back. I haven't used my old Lloyds account for anything since, and I'm looking forward to what Monzo will bring in the coming years (credit cards would be another thing I'd be happy to use Monzo for). Recently I've been supercharging my use of pots - starting to use them to pay bills, cleanly separate money and save up for various goals. It feels incredibly good to be in full control of my spending at any time, to know at a glance how much money I've got left till my next payday and to have the peace of mind that the money for important things is all safely set aside and I don't need to worry. Monzo does all this for me - I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be doing the equivalent money management by hand with spreadsheets and bank transfers into different accounts. It's a huge time saver, and it takes the stress away. One thing I've always loved about Monzo is the fact that I never have to go to a branch or talk to anyone on the phone to get something done. The in-app chat (although I rarely need it) is convenient, fast and people are polite. friendly and willing to help. Reviewed on: 12th April 2021

Couldn't imagine banking with anyone else

I've been a Monzo customer for around 4 years now and I haven't once thought about switching. Pre-Monzo, I was miserable with my money. Always spending my salary so I was left with little to nothing by the end of the month. Now I have sizeable savings in Pots, and I've totally changed my relationship with money. I hope even more people in the UK wake up to the fact that banking doesn't need to be as confusing and clunky as it is with most other banks. Reviewed on: 12th April 2021
