Game-changer

A friend recommended Monzo to me, after hearing me complain about my traditional bank. Sometimes as a customer you don't know what you want or what is out there untill you have it. In less than a week with Monzo, I cancelled my main bank account and never looked back. (the key difference is shown when you lose your card, monzo responds on chat where you freeze the card within seconds and its solved. For my traditional bank I'm still on hold with India for 2 years and juggling 10 different passwords) Reviewed on: 7th December 2018

Bringing Innovation to Banking

Banking has always been quite a standard practice such as opening an account and putting money in / taking it out. Monzo has been a complete new revolution in managing budgets, adding savings pots by demand or simply rounding up the pennies. It also offers benefits in referrals. Since Monzo, so many other similar concepts have emerged, but Monzo seems fully committed in becoming a recognised bank that's a contender in the digital age. It also uses crowdfunding to get its customers involved in it's success and being a part of it's growth. Reviewed on: 6th December 2018

Easy to keep track of money

Monzo makes it so easy to keep track of your money and know where you're overspending. It helps you monthly budget and lets you know how much you're set to have over. The notification when you buy something is also really handy. My Bank in my hand

Everything just works so seamlessly on my phone - from opening an account, to downloading my card into ApplePay, to making payments and tracking my spending. I can do everything at the click of a button, and it's secure with TouchID, and never have to sign a piece of paper or phone my bank again! Reviewed on: 5th December 2018

The only current account I use!

After switching many moons ago now, I have little regret. Monzo are centring there beliefs, and developments around the customer. Such a useful current account that is simply getting better with time. Reviewed on: 4th December 2018

Great app, good international options, shame about the interest rate

I don't use Monzo as my primary current account, because my accounts with other banks give in-credit interest at a significantly higher rate than Monzo's savings pots, and without the need to wait 24 hours when withdrawing money from them. However, the app is first-class, giving far better performance than I've experienced with other banks, and getting the MasterCard base rate for currency conversions is very nice, as is being able to take out (some) cash abroad without being charged a fee. great modern account

It's a lot better than traditional banks in that I can see what i'v spent immediately (not the next working day - nothing is ever 'pending') and all of my spending is categorised so I can easily see what i'm spending my money on and how to budget. It also lets you save with 'pots' which are little savings accounts and I enjoy using the feature that lets me round up purchases to the nearest pound and the pennies go into the savings pot. They also offer a 1% interest pot if you deposit £1000+. The only reason I give it 4/5 is that they do not offer any interest or offers on daily use. Barclays for example have blue rewards that gives you £7 a month for a £3 fee if you have 2 direct-debits. Reviewed on: 3rd December 2018
