A superb forward thinking bank

Monzo has changed my entire relationship with money. Features like savings pots including the ability to pay Direct Debits from pots, along with it’s ‘shared tabs’ features and it’s joint account has transformed my relationship with money. I have gone from someone who found money (and also debt) very difficult to manage, to someone who is debt free and is now for the first time ever budgeting and saving, with minimal little effort, and is about to purchase a home. It’s features, and how they help you save and manage money, cannot be overstated. It has changed my life! Reviewed on: 6th January 2020

shocking

App looks good, automated functions work well. But unable to provide a basic level of service, payments and fraud protection is negligent. Customer service is not existent and takes weeks to respond to issues. Reviewed on: 6th January 2020

Good bank for those that want a online only offering

Great customer service without automated phone menus. Community support forum that makes looking for support more like a big community rather than a bank. Transparent about fees and that they do not make money on fees. No fees to use the debit card abroad. Reviewed on: 6th January 2020

A bank that puts you in control of your money

Monzo are constantly making it easier to manage your money so there are fewer surprises each month. I like that fact they are always trying to make things better for me as an individual and feel more in control of my money than ever. Reviewed on: 6th January 2020

Easy banking on your phone

From the sign up experience to the regular feature updates and improvements, to the security and social protections, it is clear that Monzo put a lot of effort into making banking not only easier but also safer and more supportive. The budget feature has had an enormous positive impact on my monthly spending, and the pots are simple genius. I don't personally use it but the fact they have a gambling and other lock outs that individuals can opt to turn on gives me hope that this company actually cares about their customers, rather than just saying they do. They have a page dedicated to Ethics and while this is a bit vague I hope and trust that they do care, and won't invest my money in oil and arms. Reviewed on: 5th January 2020
