Best new bank with customers at its heart

I use Monzo for all my daily spending. It’s good to have immediate confirmation of a transaction succeeding, with the confidence that fraudulent transactions will also be notified immediately so they can be stopped. Reviewed on: 14th January 2019

Exceptional bank with first class service.

I’ve been with Monzo for nearly 2 years, now and from their inception, they’ve pushed the envelope, and exceeding expectations of how banking should work for everyone, not the other way around. Watching them evolve and improve on a monthly basis is a joy, and revolutionary to traditional antiquated brick and mortar banks which remain stuck in the past. The things they never told us, or just didn't want us to know!

Everyday of every year now, I find myself wondering how any of us finished school without knowing seemingly any if the really useful things that would affect us all in adulthood. How the country works, how government works, what drives the economy, how do mortgages work, international trade etc. I remember arguing with a friend back in 2008 about the recession, specifically he was putting forward that you Had to give the bankers they're massive bonus', otherwise they'd all leave to Switzerland, and it made me realise that banking was one of those things where we just accepted that they were in charge, that only they knew how it was done, and we should all be grateful the system exists, but now I really wanted to know what would happen if all the bankers Did all leave for Switzerland, how did they end up in banking anyway, what qualifications did they even possess, could they swim, what would happen if we threw them all in the sea!? It would take nearly another decade, but Monzo has finally done what no one else has, before then or since, and they've proved that it can and should be done for the people, in a way that benefits us all, so that we may educate the next generation of how to continue to innovate but also to provide the best damn service there is. Today I went full Monzo, and I am thoroughly looking forward to kicking gambling habits as much as I am becoming aware of All my habits, and how best to face the future.
