The things they never told us, or just didn't want us to know!

Everyday of every year now, I find myself wondering how any of us finished school without knowing seemingly any if the really useful things that would affect us all in adulthood. How the country works, how government works, what drives the economy, how do mortgages work, international trade etc. I remember arguing with a friend back in 2008 about the recession, specifically he was putting forward that you Had to give the bankers they're massive bonus', otherwise they'd all leave to Switzerland, and it made me realise that banking was one of those things where we just accepted that they were in charge, that only they knew how it was done, and we should all be grateful the system exists, but now I really wanted to know what would happen if all the bankers Did all leave for Switzerland, how did they end up in banking anyway, what qualifications did they even possess, could they swim, what would happen if we threw them all in the sea!? It would take nearly another decade, but Monzo has finally done what no one else has, before then or since, and they've proved that it can and should be done for the people, in a way that benefits us all, so that we may educate the next generation of how to continue to innovate but also to provide the best damn service there is. Today I went full Monzo, and I am thoroughly looking forward to kicking gambling habits as much as I am becoming aware of All my habits, and how best to face the future. Has changed the way I think about Banks!

Before Monzo I had accepted the fact that banking would always be 'slow' and favour the wealthy, despite so many technologies making our lives easier, more real-time and democratic. Now I actually feel I have a bank that thinks and works for me. Real-time payment notifications, fee-free foreign exchange and most importantly; a conscience. Reviewed on: 14th January 2019

Monzo, money for the masses!

I have been using Monzo for over six months now and am delighted with their product and customer service. I like how all my payments come through easily and it easy to see how much money I am spending, helping my save in areas where I don't need to spend as much. Customer service is also excellent, I had a query about some Amazon payments and via live chat customer support were able to help very quickly and help me resolve the issue. Would highly recommend Monzo to anyone, especially if you are trying to get a better understanding of your finances. There are also no fees which is even better! Reviewed on: 14th January 2019

Security is the main reason I use this bank

I have control over my card i.e. I can lock it, disable / enable the magnetic stip. The app uses secure messaging. Reviewed on: 14th January 2019
