Monzo Current account reviews (19099)

Modern Banking fit for the 21st Century.

OK, there not a bank yet, but Monzo has become my default card for spending. I load it with money when I am paid, so I know this money is separate and for spending. The spending Analytics are very good, it helps you keep track of what your spending and where in real time. There are also currently no FX fees so this card is good for spending of non-GBP websites. I like the fact that I get a notification everytime I spend on the card which helps me feel safe and secure knowing where my money is at all times. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2017

Revolutionary

I've been dissatisfied with my bank for a number of years, but Monzo fits the bill. Great app, so quick to open and receive my card, and I love the in-app budgeting and spending analysis. It's the future, now! Reviewed on: 28th February 2017

Great idea and on the right path but still a lot of things to do

Impressive

Been using Monzo now for 12 months , some great features that are always expanding and improving, some changes led by listening to their customers. Instant real time notifications of your spend to your phone, great free from fees MasterCard FX rates on your holiday spend, evolving budgeting facilities on your phone , learn what you spend your money on, where you spend it , how often you spend it - thats the way to get some control over your finances Reviewed on: 7th December 2016

Really like it

I've used my monzo card for a while now, and i actually really like it. The app just makes using, topping up, and seeing my transactions almost fun. I use this card for specific nonessential spending purposes, but i feel like i've got a better handle on how much and where I'm spending with it. if it's anything like this, i'll jump at their current account when it comes out! Quick and Sleak

Signed up to see what all the hype was about, my card was expected to be delivered today, I received it on Saturday so delivery was fast and efficient. It was really simple to set up, all it took was entering the card details and the pin was text. The app is minimal and easy to use, i was shocked at how fast it picked up payments. I bought some drinks at the bar, the app had notified me of the charges before i even got back to my seats. Very Fast. It logs the retailer, the location of the transaction and correctly categorises the transaction. You can add notes and the receipt to the transaction so you can keep track of what was purchased. Interesting concept

Downloaded the app when I got access to the Mondo beta. Had lots of trouble signing up, it rejected my email about several times before I actually managed to progress, then it just dumps you at a "wait in the queue" screen which isn't exactly the sleekest sign-up. Once I did get to the front of the queue, my card came quickly, and despite having to load it with £100 which seems like a lot - the card is actually almost "fun" to use - like the notifications, and the "you've spent £XX today" features.
