Terrible black box - cancelled insurance

I've had the insurance for around 3 months and the black box is constantly giving false speeding accusations. Recently they cancelled the insurance as i apparently did 50mph on a 30, which never happened. I do not recommend for younger driver at All. Reviewed on: 30th August 2018

YOUNG DRIVERS AVOID!! EXTORTION!!!

Anyone who has given this company 5* works for them 100% I do not see any reason for anyone to give this company more than 2*s I have never experienced such extortion in my whole life. I picked this company as it was my first car, first insurance blah blah blah. Nice and cheap, thought I was getting a good deal (minus the £500 deposit) didn't have a time restraint on the black box (big fat lieeeeee) ect. I have been with this company since January and in that time my monthly direct debit hasn't gone up once but 3 times! I was paying £80 a month which I thought was a bargain, then it went up to £150 because I moved and they didn't tell me on the phone that I would be charged however I did receive an email 2 WEEKS LATER saying they had made a mistake and I owe them £450 for changing my address. I also changed jobs and had the unfortunate pleasure of telling them I started commuting (£25 for the privilage of letting them know) and had to add miles onto my policy because my 4000 was no longer enough (new job requires about 14k per annum) an extra £700 later for 2000 extra miles bringing my direct debits to a whopping total of £291!!! And that's not even enough miles to get me to the end of my policy year!!! As a single mum who works full time who needs a car for everyday life (as most people do) like dropping my child to school and driving to and from work, don't even talk about weekends as I'm scared to use my car for the fear of having to buy more miles, this company is helping my already thriving debt start salivating from every orophis. I have currently 646 miles left on my account and I'm 4 months from this hell ending! The app barely works, the customer service is OK at best, direct debits dates can't be changed and you have to have a direct debit to even have a policy or they'll cancel you, no flexibility for payment arrangements. The only reason I am currently still with them is I can't afford to pay off the rest of my policy to leave them! Please avoid at all costs, I am struggling ridiculously financially and this company is top 3 in my list of why! While reading all this, just to summarise, I have had 2 cars with this More Than this year, the first was a Suzuki Alto 2006 (0.9l engine) and the second is a Nissan Micra 2001 (1l engine) and my insurance is nearly £4000!!!!! To clarify, if I hadn't been such a cheap skate trying to find insurance the day before I needed it and paid that little bit extra a year, I would be paying 2000 a year instead of nearly 4000 and that will rise in the next month as I need to purchase more miles. Not worth the time

Worst customer service I have ever received from a company, black box is a joke and don’t tell you in detail where you went wrong and doesn’t even work properly. They say you get money back but that can’t be more wrong, never receive the card and when you call up they say they can’t help you even though you wait an HOUR on hold to be told “not our fault we can’t help sorry” don’t waste your time spend abit more and get a better company Reviewed on: 12th August 2018

Ridiculous black box gives false readings

I’m 48 years old and as my daughter just passed her test I insured her in my name with more than smart wheels as it was best quote by several hundred pounds. But don’t think your getting a good deal as the box they fit as per insurance policy it gives you bad scores for silly little things such as, I was driving no more than 10 miles an hour driving down my road plus because of parked cars I gave way to one or two cars but I seen this dog Walker who had her dog on a pull cord lead but anyway this little dog ran off the pavement so I stopped suddenly from 10mph just to make sure the dog don’t run under my wheels etc so when I checked my score that day I had a -10 score! I mean if I was driving at 60 mph then anchored up skidding then fare enough but 10mph??!! This plus other days where I got a minus because of comfort even tho I drive an automatic so if I pull out from a junction then of course the car will rev before kick down but to the smart wheels crew they consider that revving to high even rob I rang them and said it’s an auto! I have no faith in the black box I do not trust it nor would I ever use them again you are literally tied down to so many restrictions it’s not worth it. Plus! Reward card? Never received it after 6 months now even tho I called half dozen times to chase it up! 1 out of 10 Poor company with poor customer service. Reviewed on: 27th July 2018

Not recommend. Better avoid them!

Avoid them! Poor repairs on my Audi a5 was done Morethan approved repairer, which they recommended to me " Nationwide Crash Repairs". On day of collection when I have arrived car was parked and they told is ready but it was not ready, side skirts was loose, drops of lacquer about five diffrent places had to wait another hour till they fixed issues. They had to replace tyre but for some reason they repainted wheel and now previous coat all bubbled wheel looks terrible. Now whell needs sandblasting and painting. Who ask to paint the wheel? Is not accident related! And who now will pay for refurbishment? Me! On colection checked only damaged area, but later at home I saw opposite side door is covered with lacquer dust also all windows mirrors and corner on the roof. Roof scratched with sander .Coulour they painted is darker then original! Had to take car for publishing and scrapped all windows with blade scrapper. Claims department do nothing to refund full excess have paid and the accident wasn't my fault. I need add foreign extension use to my policy phoned to them 7 times paid money extension still not added. First time they forgot about my call then they issued documents on wrong policy number and now they send me documents with wrong start date... NOT RECOMMEND!! AVOID THEM!! BETTER PAY FEW POUNDS MORE AND HAVE INSURED BY GOOD COMPANY! Should be 0 stars. Reviewed on: 7th July 2018
