YOUNG DRIVERS WATCH OUT.. AVOID MORE THAN CAR INSURANCE AT ALL COSTS I received an email from More Than stating that i was driving at 100mph on 26/9/17 at 9:02 am I proceeded to call them and explained to them that this was not possible for many reasons, yet I am still being told that even thought the problem could be a fault with my box.. my insurance will be cancelled and I will lose the amount of money I paid for my policy. This is ridiculous! I have since found out that this is something More Than is known for doing to young drivers like me.. an easy way to take our money and SCAM us out of our car insurance. We are easy targets, as we are young and will not put up a fight as we do not have the experience.. However I will not let this go without defending myself and proving that More Than are simply taking advantage of me and many others like me. I am 19 and just started driving. I thought More Than Smart Wheels seemed a reasonable price (although every company was a similar price) and I didn't mind the idea of a black box, as I know I drive responsibly - if I didn't I wouldn't have passed the practical test and pass plus. Now just to clarify, when i say 'reasonable price' I do not mean a few hundred pounds.. We are talking over £2000.. just for car insurance alone! At my age working as an apprentice this is a hell of a lot of money and something i have saved up for for a long time. I would not risk throwing it all away just to speed knowing full well I have a black box and WILL be caught, all within a month of purchasing my insurance - yet this is what I am being accused of. There are several instances where More Than have given me an incorrect score on the app, for example once when i was driving down the road to the shop, they minused 3 points from me for speeding when I definitely was not speeding. The main incident is them accusing me of driving at 100mph down the M60 at 9am. Now lets break this down and explain why this is not only UNTRUE, yet IMPOSSIBLE: - At 9 am I was currently at work and my car was stationary in the car park. I have managers and work colleagues that can collaborate this - Between 7am and 9am the M60 is practically gridlocked.. It is extremely difficult to even do 20mph on most days let alone anywhere near 70-100mph! - There are average speed cameras and the limit is 50mph - if i was speeding at 100mph surely a camera must have caught me. They are average speed cameras after all I was given no prior warnings and have been an excellent driver since i got my insurance. I have had this insurance for less than a month and as i mentioned earlier would not drive so recklessly and risk jeopardizing it. It used to take me hours to travel to work by bus and so this is something i appreciate very much. I spent over 1 hour on the phone already and was simply put down and accused again and again of something that is nothing more than an error on YOUR SYSTEM. If you have faulty machines why are you not solving that problem instead of blaming innocent drivers? Or is this just a scam and now MORE THAN you have been caught??? stay away from this company

Insured my car for 12 months on the phone before policy expired, waiting for debit card payment to go through which I was told it had. Thought job was done as got policy documents through along with a gift voucher, until 14 days after it had expired when I got an email saying sorry I had left More Than, so I called to discover they had not completed my policy saying the card payment could not go through due to lack of funds, but knowing there was plenty of funds I got written verification from my bank stating that no attempt had been made to take funds by More Than. More Than the admitted their mistake and say they would have covered my car for the 14 days but we know they would not have and it had been taken off the insurance data base on the day of expiry which they later admitted. They offered £100 in compensation for a high powered car, not that old, high value, that could have been stolen or in an accident, also bearing in mind I could have lost my licence which I rely on for work. This is a dangerous company to deal with, very slippery, most definitely unreliable so wont be going back to them again ad would recommend nobody else does. Reviewed on: 14th September 2022

Absolutely disgusting company to deal with. DO NOT recommend at all. My policy was cancelled on the letter stating 7 days but infact it was 1 day from the day i got the letter. My named driver cancelled her policy previously on her own vehicle with a different company due to door number being incorrect. This went down as ‘fraud’ according to more than’s company regulations. We explained the situation but no, policy was still cancelled. They understand yes, but do they care NO. Reviewed on: 31st August 2022

Policy cancelled because they delivered milage device to wrong address

More Than are cancelling my insurance policy because they've delivered my mileage device to the wrong address. They refuse to accept it wasn't delivered to me because they have a picture of someone i don't know holding a parcel. No name, no signature. They refuse to send me a new device even though i have nothing to gain from making this up and will in fact now be considerably out of pocket with a cancelled policy on my record. I used More Than for my car insurer a couple years ago and I had some miscommunication with them when I was up for renewal and looking to move onto another insurer. I had lost the email they sent across with my no claims discount and I tried contacting them multiple times to retrieve it, ultimately it was sent across too late and my my new insurer cancelled on me. Awful company DO NOT GET CAR INSURANCE

Increased my premium themselves and charged triple amount, which I never agreed! Phone them to cancel the insurance twice, Didn't even listen to a word I said, they asked me to wait till their verification team look into my account and, however Never had a single response. 3 weeks later cancelled my insurance without notification, and send me a big bill with a threatening letter. Avoid these guys at all costs. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY TOOK ALMOST 6 MONTHS TO VERIFY DOCUMENTS, They don't do any basic requirements that a normal insurance company does instead they hide behind an app that they barely update and think is providing adequate notifications. Scammers
