I managed to insure both my 5 year old male border collie and my 3 year old female yorkie for just £5 more a month than I previously paid. However they are now fully insured where as before I could only afford emergency cover for both of them, its great having that peace of mind. Reviewed on: 24th November 2015

WATCH OUT!

Check your renewal cost as mine jumped from £470 to £702 in one year and I had made NO claims whatsoever!! I feel they count on you not checking the cost and just allowing the policy to renew and then it's too late! When I phoned to cancel, they suddenly dropped the price by over £100 but that still wasn't comparable to what I could get elsewhere for the same policy schedule. I had my amazing Lhasa apso for near 15 years and he sadly passed away a day ago. Due to this useless company not doing their job correctly not only do I have to suffer with the bereavement of losing my beloved boy, but I also have to deal with a fee of 500 pounds because I was never offered the euthanasia and cremation add on to my policy from the beginning when I joined and nearly 15 years later! Any pet owner would obviously say yes to paying an extra 150 to make sure they are covered for their pet incase of illness. I am absolutely disgusted that I was also told if I didn’t decide on euthanasia and I basically allowed my boy to suffer until his final day I would have been covered. What a horrible comment to come out with! They call themselves a friendly pet insurance company. They are a disgrace to all pet owners and animals! Don’t waste your money and time on this waste of fresh air. It’ll be better off BULLDOZED! Reviewed on: 5th November 2020

Wouldn't use again after putting me in financial hardship

My dog had to have tests and treatment. Wasn't pre-existing as shown from blood results. Vets agreed that I can claim, which I why I went through with the advice. Morethan won't pay out... Annoyingly, they have tried to re-new my policy, at a much more expensive rate than I found with them through the internet... When I called they offered a discount (why don't they just do that anyways...). Personal experience hasn't been good. Reviewed on: 5th November 2020

Refused 150 claim on a 650 policy

DONT TRUST MORE THAN PET INSURANCE - Ive just had a claim denied. Tried claiming £150 and the policy cost me £650. Told by my vet to leave a lump until it caused him issues in 2017. He was struggling breathing as on neck so we had it removed. Claim denied even though I was following the vets advice. Total con. AVOID Reviewed on: 3rd June 2020

Increased Pet insurance cover and refuse to pay for claims

I have been with Morethan over 10 years for my pet insurance. My insurance has jumped for 40% from last year they said due to the 3 claims I made over the years and each claims were less than £100 I got back. I am now paying £80 per month to get coverage. Recently, my cat needed to go for emergency with the pre existing condition which should be covered, but they refused my claims. What is the point to pay for insurance that doesn't cover??? Take take take

I have been with more than for years. Every year the month cost has gone up. I accepted this as part of my dogs age. But this year it went up from just over £50 a month to £74. I said enough is enough. I called up as I was moving house too. I was moving 2 streets away. They told me it was to go up again because of the post code I was moving to. More people make a claim from the new post code. So I would have to pay even more now. I complained and stated I have never made a claim so why should I be penalised? They agreed after some persuasion. They agreed to give me a £150 annual discount. Bringing my bill to £63 per month. I wasn’t happy but because I was moving I just agreed. The next month £270 was taken from my account. I complained again and again, sent them statements from the bank. They just didn’t understand what the problem was. Eventually it came down to them setting up another policy without letting me know. They only ever refunded me £24.95 and two lost of £50 as compensation for my trouble. I was so fed up with this I just sent a few e-mails of cancellation. They agreed to this and I was in my way. Goodbye Morethan!! Until TODAY!! They have sent me a letter asking for £639.10 for my years subscription!! What the hell is going on!! How can a company such as this have such a high level of incompetence? Disgusting people don't USE

I’m in tear’s writing this, we cancelled are pet insurance dew to the coronavirus 26th March, I had a e-mail from them telling me it was cancelled as of the 1st April and found out today they STOLE £220.00 out of my account on the 2nd April, I have no money for my shopping and worst still no money to feed my self isolating mother who is 85. We’re all in the same boat but more than are PIRATES….Shame on them !!!!!! Reviewed on: 2nd April 2020

Ripping off customers with huge price increases

The approach to annual price increases is terrible. They will write to you just before renewal and hike up your premiums 25-30%. If you ring then they will reduce this which is poor. Why not apply a nominal price increase of a few percent. This whole approach is a deliberate ploy to rip off loyal customers. BEWARE! Reviewed on: 2nd March 2020
