If you’re eligible for an overdraft, the first £50 is interest free. The FlexDirect account has to be managed online or over the phone, not at the branch.

Poor service

The general day to day banking and the app and website are fine. It has everything you want and need. It’s just the day to day banking in branch that leaves a lot to be desired and the amount of “upgrades” that they are doing is horrendous. Pretty much every weekend I have no access to various or even all parts of my account. Not good enough really! Reviewed on: 10th February 2019

Good introductory offer but, afterwards fees are unwelcome

Flexible

Great service and products.

Nationwide’s products are fantastic with 5% interest on the Flex Direct account for 12 months and a 5% regular saver as well. Kids savings offer 3.5% up to £5k with their Future Saver and I can’t fault their service. Occasionally things go wrong in life but the staff from the phone banking team always sort iut any issues. Fantastic interest rate

I opened this account after saving enough money for the maximum of the 5% savings. I intended on using the funds for my first property. Setting the account up was incredibly easy and I’ve been pleased with the monthly interest received. Cannot fault this product. Reviewed on: 12th November 2018

Excellent service
