Nationwide usually provides competitive rates for its ISA products, especially in 2024. It also allowed multiple ISA accounts under a single “ISA”, which was important before the rule change allowing multiple ISA account openings within the same year. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024

Arranged an account opening meeting at Edinburgh South St Davids Street branch. Very convenient and comfortable seated introduction and efficiently ran through the digital application and checking my ID. I signed on the dotted line and less than a week later I had a current account with a £200 joining bonus and a cash ISA. Painless! Reviewed on: 26th February 2024

Easy to understand, apply and process

5
Easy to understand pricing structure. Easy to fund the account with money (from within the bank or another bank) and easy to see within online banking after a day or two. Overall, very happy with the application process, the clarity of the website and the speed at which it shows in online banking Reviewed on: 21st February 2024

Great experience and interest rates. Perfect ISA!

Nationwide's ISAs are easy to setup, usually within minutes from their banking app. They provide a great interest rate. They are easy to setup single or regular payments, so great for saving. Easy when needed to take out cash. A counter shows how many withdrawls are left for maintaining the interest rate. The product makes ISAs easy to use. Reviewed on: 7th February 2024

Martin Lewis wouldn't be impressed!!

Opened a new 1 year fixed rate ISA yesterday at 5.1 %, which seems good compared to recent returns. However, I asked what happens at the end of the year if I don't contact them (I am old and could find myself in hospital then etc.etc.) The answer is that the money goes into a holding "Maturity Account". After further enquiry, I establish that the maturity account would pay 1.4% interest "as instant access". Martin Lewis, in his weekly MSE newsletter says that we shouldn't be accepting less than 4% on instant access accounts. I like the local Nationwide very much, but, come on Nationwide, is this fair and good practice??? And how much investors money are you holding at this derisory rate? Reviewed on: 14th July 2023

Everything is online which is no help to the disabled who are not computer savvy. Still need in branch services and accounts. Reviewed on: 21st April 2023
