Efficient and helpful

We were looking to remortgage but found it difficult as we couldn’t get anyone to view our property for a valuation due to COVID and we ended up staying with Newbury because of this. We we’re approved with other lenders at cheaper rates but due to not being able to get the valuation the mortgages couldn’t complete. Newbury were efficient and helpful when we spoke to them and got paperwork to us quickly and kept us updated by email. Only negative is we will end up paying a bit more. Reviewed on: 5th June 2020

Re mortgage

Newbury Building Society were exceptional in the organisation of my re-mortgage particularly as this was in the Covid 19 crisis period. They organised an appointment promptly and discussed my options with me. The paper work was sent to me promptly. I’d recommend this financial service provider to friends or relatives. They listened and made things happen!

My circumstances didn’t fit into a ‘Normal’ box but I am a viable customer. Easy to deal with local lender for a development loan.

Alway easy to contact and discuss maters with someone you know, much nicer using a local building society than a faceless national lender. Rates could be more competitive though! Reviewed on: 22nd May 2020

Good local lender experience

As a mildly complicated borrower with various different streams of income, mortgages are never straightforward! I have used The Newbury Building Society for over 20 years and have always found that senior management are prepared to think outside the box and take a wider view on my ability to repay.
