Opening an account in branch

My request to open a new account was actioned instantly. No need to make an appointment and return which is often the case with other building societies. My passbook was given to me rather than needing to wait anxiously for it to arrive in the post. Polite knowledgeable staff. Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

Great service for new customers setting up a savings account

Unacceptably slow

Opening a new Senior Saver account seemed to be quick and I could see it on line but it was several days before I was sent a secure message to say that the account had been approved. What was happening during that time when it seemed all to have been done during the online opening process. Why so slow when other organisations are instant. Also the account receives instant faster payments but the funds don't appear online until close of business. And why the 2 week delay before money can be withdrawn? All these seem traits of accounts in the 1970s not 2023 Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

Slow again with messgaes

Account opened & funded in reasonable time, problem with entering details via online application form resolved quickly but still waiting for confirmation message promised a week ago 3/3/23 Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

New savings account

Had a difficult start, the account got locked even before it was up and running, and it took several phone calls to get it unlocked, , could have been a far easier process, room for vast improvements Reviewed on: 10th March 2023
