I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Good help with teething problems

We needed to talk to staff to clarify problems when opening the Joint Account. However, everyone was very helpful and our difficulties were ironed out in a pleasant manner. Great to be able to speak with real people, rather than online chat! Reviewed on: 21st January 2023

Great Customer Experience

I opened a Senior Saver account online. It was so simple to do with very clear and easy to follow instructions. I love it that they also make it easy for me to visit one of their local branches with a passbook as well if I want to, despite it being an online account. So many banks/building societies are leaving the high street, it's comforting to know that Newbury Building Society aren't following that trend and that their customers can still go in and chat face to face. Reviewed my savings with a member of the team and opened another account. Delighted with the Charity Saver which I had previously not considered.
