Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

The refurbishment of Newbury looks very nice, but I felt when I visited today the cash desk seemed to be open and not secure enough for staff and customers. Reviewed on: 31st December 2022

The revamp is horrendous, not very secure for customers (vagrents often sit on the bridge opposite) now they can see all transactions, nowhere for customers to sit. Reviewed on: 31st December 2022

If you would prefer a private room for your transaction or a till point further in the branch, please do let our team know and they will assist. Seating is in a booth and chairs by the window which are the same in number as our previous configuration, but we always can offer more if they are all in use. Response date: 16th February 2023
