Absolutely awful, left homeless after a house fire!

We encountered a house fire, absolutely awful experience. First port of call was One Call as this is who we took the policy out with. It took 3 days to get through to them as it fell on a bank holiday. No 24 hour helpline was available. When we did speak with them we were automatically fobbed off with we can't help you, you need to speak with the claims handler and the call was terminated. No alterative accomodation was offered. That was my short but very brief negative experience of One Call. The fire happened on the 2nd May and to date this claim is unresolved and hasn't moved on to the point that for the last 12 weeks the alterative accomodation has not been paid for by the insurance and we have been left homeless! Leaving families in this situation is criminal and immorable!!! Reviewed on: 17th September 2021
