Perfect Pet made understanding insurance easy!

At first I found looking for pet insurance very confusing. There were so many to choose from and I didn't understand most of the jargon. I was looking for cover for my dachsund, so that any future issues she may have could be covered. I had a dachshund as a child who was not insured and she had to be put down because we could not afford the surgery! I did not want this to happen to my current dachshund! I found perfect pet through compare the market. I was very pleased they offered such a good deal and decided to go with them as they made understanding the details so easy. Thank you! Absolute crooks

Perfect Pet paid out on the claim I made when my dog had a cancerous mast cell tumour removed from his muzzle, near his nose. This was clearly stated what it was in the notes. Yet, the continuation claim, from North Downs Specialist Referrals which did not even treat anything on his muzzle, has been declined for no valid or appropriate reason, citing that it is now ‘dental/oral related’. A mast cell cancer is clearly not an issue in any way related to dental or oral health, and the continuation treatment being claimed for did not even deal with anything on his head at all! The complaints procedure is a joke. 5 days to acknowledge and eight weeks to consider it! The way my claim has been handled is absolutely appalling, and no doubt the reason why Perfect Pet already has so many poor reviews on TrustPilot. Consumers need to know about your shady practices and be warned never to sign up with them. There are plenty of pet insurance providers who are reasonable, professional and prompt, and pay according to the policy and treatment of the dog. Reviewed on: 1st September 2022
