PLEASE AVOID POCKIT!

I opened a pockit account as there are no banks left where I live, and it seemed easy to go to the post office to a pay point to deposit any cash into an account. I only really use the account for small cash deposits and so my parents can transfer money to me to help with food and bills, as I’m a single mum. On Sunday 1st September, my dad put £300 into my pockit account and when I went to transfer the money, a notice came up that my account was under review and I couldn’t access my money and my card is on hold. They requested various documents and information, which I immediately sent to them, and they said it would probably take 2-4 days to complete the review. I had no warning about this. I understand that some monitoring of accounts like this need to take place, but why can I not access the money first. I have emailed repeatedly and tried to find a phone number for them, with no joy. The only response to my emails are automated, and one saying that my money is safe! I have no money now, and no food! There is no other way to contact them. Their customer service is appalling and to only have an email address as a point of contact is ridiculous. I have no access to my money and no end in sight. There is a phone number on the back of my card, which doesn’t work. You are totally at their mercy. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS COMPANY! Reviewed on: 7th September 2024

Account locked for no good reason, no response to any form of communication since 22/2/21 Zero customer "service" - large balance unavailable. Referred to Ombudsman (FOS) and FCA. Forced to assume direct fraud / theft, so referral to Police also. Reviewed on: 16th March 2021

Been waiting for a refund since December, had an email on 5 Feb saying that payment had been processed, still waiting, had a complaint upheld against them, they even awarded me compensation, still no payment they wont reply to emails phone lines are closed, as far as i am concerned they are a gang of thieves and conmen Reviewed on: 9th March 2021

AVOID this company Just to give you an update I have been trying to contact Pockit for the last 3 months after they closed my account for no reason whatsoever after 4 years and although they have asked for and been given my details to transfer the balance of £555 back to my bank they have yet to do so 3 times they have told me it will be processed within 10 days and 3 months later still no money They reply to 1 in every 15 emails I send and all with the same excuse that it is being processed Trading standards are now involved and also the financial ombudsman Thankfully after contacting the Martin Lewis money programme they are showing an interest in outing this fraudulent company Check out their reviews on her and other google sites Please draw your money out whilst you still can their annual accounts haven’t been submitted they are obviously in trouble You have been warned Reviewed on: 2nd March 2021

I’ve emailed, called and tried love chat you still haven’t responded to me. I closed this account come to find out they didn’t close it or reopened it! Someone sent money to that account n the bank is trying to retrieve the money but you stupid dimwits won’t respond. I’ve even sent a bloody letter and u fools won’t even respond! I’ve even dm them on instagram! How the hell is your funky looking ass open ? Yall should be shut down by now! I really believe this company is using drug or trafficking money. Transaction

They always take minimum 4 hours to complete the transaction if you have sent money in to UK bank account. Now it has been more than 40 hours i have no idea where is my money gone? Recepient didnt recieve it yet and money has been deducted from pockit account. And no correspondence on my problem . Its like a joke now Reviewed on: 11th January 2021
