Bordering On Fraud

I used Pockit for 6 months without any problems. Then last week my Prepaid Credit Card was refused 3 times even though I had plenty of money into my account to cover transactions. I was too late to stop my monthly SO transferring money to this account. Contacting Pockit is a nightmare. Emails are unanswered or contain bland uninformative responses. Phone calls go unanswered. At the same time I was blocked from taking money out, my SO never arrived in my account (and has not done so after 5 days even though my Bank is the same as the one they use). I have reported this to the police (ActionFraud) and my bank (who assure me the SO was paid in. Today I managed to get them on the phone. They told me my card had been stopped because of suspected fraudulent activity. They apparently never thought to inform me and could not tell me when or where this activity had taken place. They did not know what had happened to my SO. When I logged back in, the link to take money out was working, but I could not use it because my account balance had been reduced to zero though my online statement shows £70. I have a card that does not work, money that has vanished from my account, and a SO payment that has also vanished. One final point. I posted this on Facebook and was in the middle of helping two users with similar problems when all my posts were deleted and I can no longer post to Pockit's page. Only Facebook could have done this. It is interesting that this huge organisation will support its advertisers without checking the veracity of complaints. Update: - My problem has now been resolved (speedily) after I emailed [email protected] These are the people who licence Pockit. Suspended my account for no reason just the day before my wages went in so I had no access to them. Once the suspended ur account you cannot speak to anyone on live chat so you just get a gernetic email which they do not reply to. I sent all they asked for. 2 weeks gave past. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Put my account on review so my benefit got sent back all my direct debits didn't get paid I would not advise anyone to get this account I've also got children and need my money they did this with no warning its disgusting and you can't speak to customer services it's a robot you email what a joke Reviewed on: 30th September 2024

PLEASE AVOID POCKIT!

I opened a pockit account as there are no banks left where I live, and it seemed easy to go to the post office to a pay point to deposit any cash into an account. I only really use the account for small cash deposits and so my parents can transfer money to me to help with food and bills, as I’m a single mum. On Sunday 1st September, my dad put £300 into my pockit account and when I went to transfer the money, a notice came up that my account was under review and I couldn’t access my money and my card is on hold. They requested various documents and information, which I immediately sent to them, and they said it would probably take 2-4 days to complete the review. I had no warning about this. I understand that some monitoring of accounts like this need to take place, but why can I not access the money first. I have emailed repeatedly and tried to find a phone number for them, with no joy. The only response to my emails are automated, and one saying that my money is safe! I have no money now, and no food! There is no other way to contact them. Their customer service is appalling and to only have an email address as a point of contact is ridiculous. I have no access to my money and no end in sight. There is a phone number on the back of my card, which doesn’t work. You are totally at their mercy. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS COMPANY! Reviewed on: 7th September 2024

After writing such a positive email just this morning, somehow I’ve managed to change my mind. I have had pockit for 3 years now roughly and it’s been absolutely brilliant. I yesterday received a sum of money from a family member (in which I have sent you copies of messages, screenshots, all sorts) for a new car. The bank was fine, absolutely nothing wrong. Went today to purchase a car and still everything was fine. Until this afternoon, where I have had an email saying my account is under review. This isn’t a small sum of money.. I haven’t heard anything back and I’ve read numerous posts about your “reviews” online. My mental health has deteriorated massively and the worry is sickening. I haven’t the funds to pay for anything now and something needs done about it. I have collected all reviews and please believe that I’ll be taking this to the ombudsman if things aren’t sorted. It’s horrendous how you don’t even give any warning. I’d be more than happy to have my account reviewed.. just some pre warning. My family member has contacted their bank explaining that the money is legitimate and we have sent everything you’ve asked for and we are still left hanging. As a registered pockit user who even had the advances option etc, I demand a manager looks into my case asap. I loved this account and I am heartbroken that you would treat me like this as a loyal customer for almost 3 years. How dare you make me and my family feel this way with absolutely no prior warning.
