Beware of incentives (text removed by Smart Money People)

Just taken out a mortgage with the above. On the mortgage pre application I was told that I qualified for a refund on the valuation fees on mortgage completion. This and other fees were paid and the process continued. Once the mortgage was completed Precise then decided to change their mind and refused to issue a refund. The overall process was not the best, they were slow with dealing with the application and seem to slow the process up even more with minor issues. (text removed by Smart Money People). I tried to pay money off the mortgage and each time after I paid them the money they found another reason not to assign it to my account and each time I phoned them they came up with a different reason. Absolutely horrendous company.

Absolutely horrendous company. I made the initial application payment of £465 and was advised I would receive a full refund based on the product I was taking out. 4 months on I have not received the refund, raised a complaint and they provided conflicting information and asked me to check with my bank, I provided proof of my bank statements for two full months showing no refund. I’ve now had to take this to the financial ombudsman and my bank have taken the case to get the money back. I feel very let down by this company and wouldn’t ever use them again. Criminal company do not get a mortgage with them.

One star is too many

One star is too much for this company. I had to ask three times for a redemption certificate, finally received and paid by cheque to outstanding balance plus the extra for paying by cheque. Certificate received on 20/10/2023, cheque sent on the same date by recorded delivery, cheque was received by precise on 23/10/2023 and not paid in until 03/11/2023! Now they are chasing me for an outstanding balance for interest that has occurred because they didn’t submit the cheque on the date they received. I have spoken to numerous people now at precise and no one is willing to help or address this matter. Now they want to send an email to the financial team. Absolutely joke of a company. Redemption Certificate

I have requested a redemption certificate twice now. Instead I’ve had legal action letters and visit from a bailiff! Reviewed on: 17th October 2023

Do NOT Use - Shambolic Compant

Absolute joke of a company, we supplied all the information they requested, as we we're totally open and transparent, and we agreed a 2 year fixed deal, which we were happy with, and then at the last minute, they changed the goal posts and said they could only offer us a 5 year fixed deal, funny that, after a short fall in interest rates, talk about ripping people off, these are not to be trusted in any way, shape or form. Complete rip off.

I've had a 2nd mortgage with Precise Mortgages for 12 years, I've never defaulted, always paid on time yet with increased I treat rates recently the took it upon themselves to increase by 8%, rather than by the 4% the actual rates went up by. Result is I am paying 12%!!! I think they want to either make a massive profit on this or repossess. Thanks fully I had the funds to pay it off and stick 2 fingers to them but AVOID! Never had a problem with them

I took out a mortgage in June 2015. Whenever I have called Precise they have been courteous. However, they didn’t offer me a new product at the end of my two year period. So, I started overpaying my mortgage every month. I needed to go back to my broker for a new deal with precise, but he had moved away and some other brokers were wanting me to increase the length of my mortgage, which I wasn’t willing to do. don't trust this company

I have many Precise B2L mortgages ,so was happy to apply for another .I paid all my fee's up front on the initial acceptance by the broker. Property was valued and a reduced offer was indicated ,I challenged the valuation and was suddenly turned down with no explanation . I have trawled the internet for credit agencies and have no defaults or bad credit score .This is a very bad way to rob people of money ,so therefore PRECISE are not to be trusted . Useless company

Do not recommend taking house mortgage from this company because I’ve been waiting weeks for a decision and everytime I was asked to provide more evidence of my salary and employment of contract. I have been a agency worker for over 3 years and my application got rejected…they charge 500£ for an application but when it gets rejected you lose all this money. This is complete rip off !!
