Review of the RCI Bank, Freedom Savings Account:

Untrustworthy bank

Lost my trust with this bank and there is no way to ever restore it after they suddenly removed my linked account without any explanation and took months to restore it by forcing me to reapply by post. I could not use my own money when we needed it desperately. It caused unnecessary anxiety, RCI did not even apologised. Now trying to withdraw my savings and move it to another more reliable provider with much much better and more competitive rate, the bank has kept my money for nearly a week when it says one business day. So it’s not earning any interest as it’s not appearing in the RCI account and also not in my personal bank account.I used to believe RCI was a decent bank but no longer. Very easy to deal with on line ( even for a technoph...

Very easy to deal with on line ( even for a technophobe like me). Interest rates were the best on offer. Interest was paid into my account on time without any problems. Telephone contact was easy too. I don’t remember having any of the usual on hold for an hour experiences. Reviewed on: 14th April 2025
