Poor performance lost money

1
Got a pension statement today from them, stating I've lost 5.1% of my pension and yet they gave me £1.08 in there so called profit sharing. So how do they make a profit, but lose 5.1% of my money. Of course they make a profit of our losses. I will be cashing out, scams like the rest of the pension thief's. Stay away Reviewed on: 12th June 2023

pension fund decreasing

1
company is wiping out my pension fund as i get closer to retirement, if anyone has seen there pension fund collapsing as they near retirement then talk to some of the younger people, there pensions are still rising, while older members are seeing there pensions collapse as they near retirement, company is a total scam and ombudsman and regulators do nothing even though they can see what is happening, pension companies are the biggest rip off since thatcher deregulated them , and royal london is one of the worst offenders Reviewed on: 30th April 2023

I feel looked after

Royal London gives me confidence in their products by giving good timely communication about how my pension is doing. I am always updated if anything changes & yearly statements help me keep on track. Reviewed on: 7th April 2023

I've had a better toothache

1
They are not customer orientated whatsoever. Won't answer phones, so you email them but they send you another email with link, to another Web form, to verify yourself with the same information you emailed them in the first place, nonsense! Reviewed on: 1st April 2023

Useless churning "strategy", exorbitant fees

1
My workplace setup a Royal London pension - by default it is the "Balanced Lifestyle Strategy (drawdown)". I'm glad I only put in the bare minimum required for employer matching because: 1. Scammy fund administrators and investment managers - I noticed dozens of transactions per month, in and out of various of their ridiculously high cost funds. Some help you are, total POS. 2. Also, exorbitant fees for what is effectively a global equity index fund (minimum 100 bps or more per year) - shameful. How dare you. Stay away from these scammers, invest in an index fund yourself. (Blackrock/vanguard should be <10 bps per year) Reviewed on: 28th March 2023

Poorly Administrated

1
I have managed admin for my employers pension scheme for 7 years. During that time I have never once had a Royal London response to a request to make changes to employee data, I have had to chase every single time, on many occasions more than once. Changes and updates are simply not actioned - it is poor service. Royal London advisors are quite frequently rude when any dissatisfaction is expressed, rather than attempting to resolve the issues. Snail mail

1
Contacted RL last year to enquire about taking a pension pot, was told you can only start the process 4 weeks before you're 55th birthday, process wasn't started until after my birthday due to having to complete various paperwork and still today I am waiting for another item of paperwork to arrive via snail mail which once returned will take upto 15 working days to process, every step of this process takes weeks even ringing them is a joke, waiting ages and before you speak to someone line goes dead ☹️☹️☹️ Reviewed on: 20th March 2023

My work pension

This is a pension that my workplace set up for me but they are very transparent with their investments and a good place to have your pension Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Avoid at all Costs - Be Warned

1
My wife has three pensions (AON, Scottish Widows and Royal London). The first two - no issues in drawing the pension out (would thoroughly recommend them). Royal London is a nightmare - held in queues for hours with no response then cut off. When she did get through they are putting up so many hurdles to get access to the money. Glad we have not got our main pensions with them or else we would be having solicitors involved. Just look above at how many negative ratings there are for them - says it all.
