Guaranteed no messing !!

My car insurance is with Saga who offered the best value for money in terms of protected no claims, courtesy car etc. Above all though I know that the company are reliable and trustworthy and that if things should go wrong and I need them they will be there as they have been for my other insturances Reviewed on: 29th September 2021

20 years no claims but they only provide 1 years proof

Car renewal came through 20% increase, this followed a 100% increase on a prior car that had been with them 3 years fixed. However what is really naughty is that having gone to them with 16 years no claims 4 years previously and having been claim free for 4 years they only give you one years no claims externally (although recognise 20 years in their quote). This smacks of a corrupt company trying to make it as difficult as possible to leave them BEWARE ! Reviewed on: 14th August 2024

. Totally rip off merchants

Just had my renewal quote for 2024. £1,101,39 . This is an 100% increase on last year when it was £551.63. Been with them for over fifteen years, never had a claim.had a quote from sixteen other companies all were in the region of£400 cheaper than saga. For a five star policy. What does that tell you. They are with doubt profiteering. Got a similar policy from LV insurance less than half the price. If your insurance is due for renewal I would suggest you shop around. Don’t get ripped off by saga. Horrendous Company, Stay Well Clear

Unfortunately this system doesn't allow you to give no stars as Saga's customer service is absolutely shameful and useless. Having spent an hour on the phone and being told there is no Manager in, they admit they work from home. This folks is why they don't answer your calls as they are working on the cheap whilst rinsing the older generation on renewals. STAY AWAY Reviewed on: 14th January 2024

Appalling customer service!

Been waiting for my car insurance renewal documentation ( on 3 year fixed). Have been chasing them and contacted online again today as only 15 days away. Told with underwriters and nothing they can do. Explained going away on holiday and need to get it sorted. Told nothing they can do. Asked to submit a complaint - told manager would contact me within 24 hours by email but he won’t be able to do anything. Worst customer service experienced by any company ever !!!!!! Renewal of house insurance.

WHAT A RIP OFF. My 92 year old dads house insurance is up for renewal. He was on a 3 year plan. His insurance has gone up from £240 to £361. I don’t pay anywhere near that for my 5 bed house in Chester. They also think they are doing him a big favour by giving it to him fixed rate for 3 years. Hes never made a claim in his life. They know that most elderly folks will just renew because they can’t be bothered to shop around. I though they were here for the elderly not ripping them off. Buyers beware, shop around.
