Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Friendly helpful service

I wanted to insure a new car that I had just bought while waiting to sell my old one which I still needed to use. Other insurance companies told me that I couldn’t insure two cars at the same time, which was causing me a huge problem. Saga came to my rescue by arranging to get my no claims bonus moved from my old car to the new car, this was done with no fuss and just required a small addition to my premium.
