Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

My initial car insurance was paid in one payment. At the time of renewal of my policy, I requested payment then be made by monthly Direct Debit. The operator I spoke with was VERY professional and knowledgeable and arranged EXACTLY what I wanted in a very timely manner. I have now paid 3 instalments without any problems and look forward to continued car insurance cover. Reviewed on: 30th September 2021

Car and Home Insurance

The Car Insurance is rather expensive, probably due to my age, but it covers all the necessaries very comprehensivly. The Home Insurance is a very reasonable price and both insurances do 'What it Says on the Tin. Reviewed on: 30th September 2021

Great service with friendly and knowledgeable staff

Any time I have needed to get in contact, I have been impressed by how good the service is that has been provided. Nothing seems to be to much trouble. The staff I have dealt with are always very polite, friendly and helpful.
