Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Such incredible help

My husband died and I had to check with Saga that it was still safe for me to drive our car. I received a very clear thumbs up from Saga, which was so reassuring. Excellent for older people

Once you reach the age of around 67 car (and all other) insurers decide they can charge you 3-4 times what they were charging you. Saga provides affordable insurance for older people. And they also have people you can speak to on the phone instead of just a website or endless telephone multiple choices. Reviewed on: 29th September 2021

Great value and 3 year price fix.
