Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Excellent company to deal with

My experience with Saga has been brilliant. I have two insurance policies with them. I especially like the 3 year same annual Renewal cost plans, it's easy to budget for, and yes I took time to check against other companies before renewal, and Saga still cane out the best for me. Excellent insurance company

SAGA have been excellent in dealing with my car insurance. I was hit by a foreign car driver two years ago. They were very professional and also concerned for my welfare. They sorted the claim very quickly and are still persuing the other party for the full recompense and my excess. Very thorough.
