Help when needed

My sister died and I had to cancel my holiday. I phoned saga and they sent me a claim form for the doctor to fill in. The doctor couldn't really help, so they phoned him. They then suggested that I contacted the hospital. I did this, and after a month the hospital replied. The saga contact did most of the work for me, by telling me what to do. (Insurance claims can be a bit of a minefield). Reviewed on: 26th August 2016

Fortunately I didn't have to use this insurance. However I was given a good discount on the quote that I was given and it was a really good deal.

I was happy with the origional quote that I was given and went on to compare this with other companies, however I decided to stay with Saga and when I actually made the booking there was a substantial saving which was very pleasing. Reviewed on: 5th June 2016

Great value for money- simple to arrange and good levels of cover

My wife and I went on holiday earlier this year with our two grown up children and we wanted a family travel insurance policy to cover us as a group. We used Saga and found the whole process very simple and quick. Underwriting is on line. Having seen a doctor within the past 12 months about something quite minor, I found other providers wanted to increase my premium by an amount I felt was unreasonable. However, with Saga, the underwriting was completed on line and the whole process was simple. Whilst there was a slight increase in premium it was significantly lower than other providers had quoted. The lower cost did ont come at the expense of cover. The policy provided good levels of cover for various situations and reasonable exclusions. The whole process was quick and simple from start to finish and I'll be using Saga to cover my next holiday. Reviewed on: 5th November 2015
