Review of the Santander, Everyday Current Account:

Online banking and security excellent

I've found online banking with this account incredibly easy. Setting up and managing one-off payments, direct debits and standing orders is very quick, as was increasing my overdraft. I also like the fact that Santander will temporarily hold any suspicious (or new) large payments until they've called you to verify they're legitimate. It's an automated voice service but again it's very clear and intuitive. Reviewed on: 10th August 2015

I was originally with Alliance and Leicester before...

I was originally with Alliance and Leicester before moving to Santander. I have never had anything helpful from this bank. I can't even get an overdraft or loan let alone a credit card from this place yet I opened an account with a rival bank and have been given all 3. The customer service is pretty good. It was a difficult experience moving from a basic account to this every day account. Its not a bad bank just don't expect miracles from them as there are better out there. The Everyday Account meets most banking needs althou...

The Everyday Account meets most banking needs although if I had one complaint it would be that the display in the app shows a "Balance" and a "balance inc. Pending" which causes confusion when pay appears on the balance but not on balance inc. Pending even though the payment is literally pending. It should say "Available balance" instead or "Balance including outgoing pending". Reviewed on: 27th January 2024

I have banked with Santandar for several years and recently had 2 experiences with a potential scam situation where money was taken from my current account every month for a transaction I didn’t subscribe too, the fraud team were amazing ( special thanks to Imran) my concern was dealt with efficiently and spontaneously, I can’t recommend this bank enough, I cannot recommend their commitment to investigating potential frausters enough Reviewed on: 3rd January 2024
