When I retired I looked for a good return on my lump...

When I retired I looked for a good return on my lump sum to subsidise my pension. At first I was concerned with Shawbrook as my bank said they did not recognise the company even though it is a registered bank. I decided to invest in a 1 year fixed rate and have never been happier. Since then I have opened 3 different accounts and 2 ISAs, I even made a mistake on one of the accounts that I did not realise until after a month which caused no interest to go into my account, I contacted Shawbrook via the account messenger service and the issue, my mistake, was rectified within 24 hours. Whenever I have had to call them they answer in a good time and always seem to know what they are doing, reassuring and easily understood. Even if their interest rates were slightly less than I could get elsewhere I would still stay with them as it's all been stress free. Reviewed on: 20th March 2025
