First port of call for savings

Been saving with Shawbrook for a few years now. At first I hadn’t any experience with their products but the detailed product information and competitive rates assured me that I would be happy to trust them with my savings. I was not disappointed. The website is clear and use friendly and customer service via messaging and phone was supportive, helpful and informative. Answers felt personal and not just a ‘boilerplate’ response. Low key and excellent

I have opened and transferred ISAs with Shawbrook. On one occasion, they advised me I'd chosen the wrong ISA and recommended one with a higher rate of interest so they do take a genuine interest (!) in their customers. We are not just account numbers to them. I like them so much I just opened an instant savers account so my rainy day fund can earn a bit more interest until I need it. I am a firm believer that good customer service is almost invisible and doesn't come with bells and whistles and 'hey, look what I'm doing for you! We used some of your money to pay Ant and Dec too!' and Shawbrook is very definitely not like that. Reviewed on: 26th February 2024
