Closure Problems

I want to close my 0.01% interest account but the online procedure simply will not let me. Although in my account details it shows my "Nominated Account" when you try to transfer the funds into it, the nominated account disappears and then the process will not continue. On Line Fixed Savings.

I only have experience with setting up an on line savings account. I have used 3 other banks for the same purpose and Shawbrook was the easiest and most straightforward. Their interest rate was favourable by comparison. Reviewed on: 15th January 2026

Opened an easy access account as it had a bonus rate...

Opened an easy access account as it had a bonus rate for 12 months, which my other bank account doesn't have. So have moved some spare money into this account and will review it again when the bonus is due up. The account was easy to open, and I'm pleased so far. Reviewed on: 15th January 2026
