What a rip-off

I had been with Sheila's Wheels for about 4 years for both my car and home/contents insurance; they always came out among the most competitively priced when I checked comparison websites so I was happy to stay with them. However when my car insurance renewal quote came through this time it seemed very high and certainly didn't rate among the most competitive on comparison websites. In fact their own website quoted me nearly 90 quid cheaper and Confused.com undercut even that. When I contacted them they immediately said they would match the price on their own website (but were noit interested in matching the one on Confused.com). They would however have happily charged me the asking price of their renewal quote had I not challenged. I politely declined their offer and went with another company. Very disappointed in Sheila's Wheels - as a result of their stance they also lost my custom when it came to renewing my home and contents policy the following month. Insurance companies spend a fortune on advertising to attract new customers so why do they treat the ones they already have like dirt - not to mention insulting our intelligence? It is beyond me! Helpful, good value and reliable!

Easy and Simple

Worst company ever, money grabbers, stay way clear!

Awful company, been with them for years, never claimed. Changed my car and got an increase in premium £250, even though the new car is a family type with a smaller engine than my previous sports cars. Nowadays it takes hours to get through to them on the phone and when you do, they just hang up on you. I believe it used to be a good company with competitive rates - now my advice: stay clear from these money grabbers! PS, The new insurance with a different firm cost me almost 50% less, so even with cancellation fees I'm still MUCH better off with the other insurer. Reviewed on: 6th August 2018

Disgraceful

Car has been in their garage Auto Crash Repairs for over 3 months. SW have never once called me to provide me with updates on the progress and the garage have fobbed me off each time I have had to chase. I have now reported them to the financial ombudsman as have had to complain 3 times and post online reviews like this one online and on social media for them even to look onto my file seriously. Worst insurance company ever

Absolutely horrendous company. We were involved in a collision after a driver pulled out in front of us. Esure unfortunately represented both parties and refused to investigate the accident and applied partial liability to both parties. I assume because its better for them to raise both our insurance premiums and save the expense of investigating the claim at all, nevermind correctly. After chasing them up and hounding them they eventually provided a courtesy car that should have been offered and provided at the time of the claim. Only for them to take it back almost 2 weeks earlier than agreed leaving us whitout a car whilst trying to replace the one that they wrote off rather than repair. They didnt even communicate to us that they were taking the courtesy car off hire, a confused rental agent called us apologising that they were going to need the car back today. Each time we called the insurance agent they were rude and abrupt. Uncurteous and unhelpful. We will never do bussiness with them again and advise anyone else to avoid them like the plague.if i could givem minus stars i would. Reviewed on: 30th May 2018

Always the cheapest for me

Shields wheels has always been cheapest for me, easy and efficient service when I had an accident and made a claim. Also offer multi car discount, when my renew came in although i was pleased with the price i rang up anyway and another 10% was taken off. Always excellent customer service on the telephone.
