Fantastic alternative to high street banks!

Interestingly enough, I came across the logo for Starling Bank in a customer satisfaction poster whilst standing in a branch of Santander, who I've had a current account with for the last 14 years. I'd just returned from 4 years of working overseas and everything seemed like I had to jump through hoops to be able to do something simple like manage my finances. After being blocked out of my account with Santander on two occasions whilst trying to make an £8 transfer to a family member, I decided it was time to get out of a traditional high street bank. I did my research on Starling (even ordering Ann Boden's book) and after opening a current account and switching, I haven't looked back. It was so simple to set up and I love the visibility of the app - I can clearlt see where my money is and create multiple savings spaces for the future. I'm now trying to convince my parents and my partner (and essentially anyone who will listen to me ramble on about good Starling is) to make the switch! Reviewed on: 3rd April 2022

I've never had a positive thing to say about a bank until I moved to Starling

I always thought of banks as a necessary evil with not a lot to choose between them. Until I moved to Starling. I moved my current account and then my business account there and the transition was so smooth I almost didn't notice it. On the rare occasions that I've had to deal with them on the phone (it was outside circumstances rather than having a problem with them) they were easy to contact, straightforward to deal with and actually a pleasure to talk to. Never thought I'd say that about a bank! Their accounts are great, the app is amazing and I love their commitment to keeping things simple and straightforward. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2022
