I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

Outstanding

I thought my life was going to fall apart because of my debt, yet StepChange made me feel like I wasn't alone and that there was an answer. I'm still paying off my debts, but StepChange has meant that it is no longer daunting and is simply another regular and manageable outgoing. I couldn't recommend them enough. A weight was lifted & i found light at the end of a very dark tunnel

I was desperate when I contacted stepchange. They explained all my options even suggested what might be best for the circumstances I was in. Their help saved my mental health. Before reaching out I felt trapped & overwhelmed & genuinely did not no where to turn. I used step changes debt calculator and then spoke to someone over the phone who helped me set up a DMP.
