Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Going down the right path.

Finding StepChange has stopped all my worrying & im less stressed. It’s been so easy to set up on line. My friend doesn’t like the internet so she read my paperwork & you can also have paperwork posted to you. It’s great Reviewed on: 26th May 2025

StepChange, changed my situation.

StepChange, like it's word helped changed my situation. Their support brought calmness in the times of adversities- constant calls from creditors, letters and emails made it very difficult for me to have a good night sleep. However, once StepChange came on board my creditors were sorted, no more phone calls letters or emails from them. The staff members were so great, calm and supportive in a non-judgemental way. The service is free!

The service is free! Customer service is excellent from start to finish. I am now debt free, it was a process but I got there and paying what was affordable. I couldn't recommend enough, what a relief when things get sorted and I could breathe again. Don't despair, contact Step Change!

I was in the depths of despair before I contacted Step Change. Within days my life changed. A great burden was lifted off my shoulders, my depression went and I was able to live my life more or less normally. Reviewed on: 26th May 2025
