Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Relief and help

I suddenly lost my job, and the bills and accounts did not go away. If I paid all my monthly bills there was no money, literally no money, for food. Step Change gave me clarity. A breathing space. Sign of relief at last.

I called step change after I overwhelmed with my debts through recommendation from online. They were very supportive and professional in helping with my debts It is easy if you know how to use their online budget if not you can call them and a friendly tram will help to complete it.
