Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Peace of mind at last

100% stress reduction

I can sleep again !

When i contacted StepChange I was worried about my debts. I couldn't sleep or function properly and worried constantly about the post arriving or a knock at the door. Thanks to StepChange, I can sleep at night again they pretty much sorted everything out for me and arranged an affordable payment plan with each of the companies I owed money to. Life Saver

After being scammed out of my life savings and tricked into taking out further loans to finance the purchase of BitCoin, when I tried to cash in the BitCoin,it was not available. I now had no money and £52000 worth of debt. I contacted StepChange who brokered an affordable repayment plan with all my creditors .They have literally been lifesavers as I was in a VERY bad place at the time. THANK YOU StepChange!!! A great Help

Since joining Stepchange and getting a DMP it has been so easy and stress free. Able to update my budget annually or when something big happens, it was the best decision I ever made. Peace of mind

My husbands business had to close suddenly due to illness and leaving a large debt to repay. After many months of worry we contacted StepChange they got in touch with all our creditors and arranged a debt repayment plan all through this process they have given us advice and help we are now well on track to be debt free with only one bank refusing to stop charging interest.
