Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Debt Management.

I have been with Stepchange for a number of years now and when I first got in touch with them I was worried sick about not being able to cope with the debt I had. They helped me sort out my finances with the companies I owed money to and arranged a Debt Management Plan for me. They certainly made my life better and were not judgemental in the way they dealt with me. I would certainly recommend anyone who finds themselves with debt problems to get in touch. I got myself into trouble with money when my husband died and the staff at StepChange were amazing.
