I was a nervous wreck with debts piling up after being made redundant. Stepchange was recommended by a family member and it was the best thing I ever did. They talked me through everything and set up a manageable payment scheme. Reviewed on: 19th May 2024

I was in a world if bother with debt and burying my head in the sand and just wracking up more and more. I got to a point where I didn't know what to do as I couldn't afford the repayments and my living costs. The payments I was making were only clearing that months interest. I came across Stepchange and plucked up the courage to call them. I was expecting to be judged amd made to feel silly for the situation I'd got myself in. I couldn't have been more wrong. Unfortunately the name of the person I spoke to escapes me, but he was so empathetic and understanding of my situation. He explained everything and supported me putting an affordable repayment plan in place. It's the best financial decision I have made in years speaking to Stepchange. Less than 9 months on and I've cleared £6000 of my debt and the interest on all but one of Mt debts has been frozen. For the first time in years I'm making progress with getting myself out of the mess I find myself in. I would highly recommend that if you're struggling with debt, to speak to stepchange. Peace of Mind

An excellent Debt Management association to deal with. They give you their time, are sympathetic to your individual circumstances, will advise you of all debt management options, contact all your debtors on your behalf and set up an affordable payment plan which enables you to clear any debts.
