Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Don’t struggle with debt contact these

I have struggled for years getting into more debt to pay old debt as I felt to ashamed to reach out for help, I finally come to terms and admitted I was struggling and it was all getting on top of me to the point where I hated if my phone rang or if the postman walked into my garden. A family member told me about step change so I did my research and and thought what do I have to lose and filled everything in which I must say was super easy to follow each step and if like me I was getting overwhelmed at seeing how much debt I actually had accumulated I had to take a break but that was ok as it keeps it saved at what step your at. I had a response and a payment plan set up within 2 weeks ready for my 1st payment to go on the 1st of July. The Customer services were amazing so friendly and not judgmental put me at ease instantly. The fact I can sleep again at night without the constant worry on how I’m going to pay them all, not getting knots in my stomach everytime my phone rings is amazing and this is with the biggest Thankyou to step change my honest opinion if you are finding yourself struggling or not managing contact these you can do it all online if you prefer not to speak to anyone you will never look back Reviewed on: 24th May 2025
