Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

My husband was made redundant twice in two years!

My husband was made redundant twice in two years! The last time he was made redundant at the end of the month two days before payday and obvs no wages paid. It was a very stressful time we were depressed. I had two small children and it was also 9 months before our (unpaid) wedding. My parents told me about stepchange and along with their help an the help from my family we were able to come to an arrangement with creditors very quickly and I slept properly for the first time in weeks and when I woke I didn’t have that massive sinking feeling. No More Overwhelm

I can honestly say i was completely overwhelmed by my debts, but Step Change helped me manage my debts withinn my budget. They laid out a workable debt management plan and best of all contacted all my creditors to let them know of my payment plan which kept them from harrassing me constantly. Step change is an incredible company that came to my rescue during a tough time in my life. I was drowning in debt and under immense stress, but when I reached out to them, I was blown away by their efficiency and professionalism. They took my situation, explained everything clearly, and worked smoothly to manage all my debts. They slashed the interest rates and reduced my monthly payments to a manageable amount. The communication was amazing , and they were incredibly easy to talk to. They truly understand how to help you navigate through tough times. I can’t thank them enough for their support and guidance.
