Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Excellent help. Excellent solution.

Ended up going very into the red after unpleasant circumstances meant a relocation. I got in touch with StepChange and they could not have been more helpful. They took the worry and concern out and came up with a repayment plan. I’ve now only a few months left to go, it’s fantastic to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I havebeen very ill over thepast 15 or so years and my difficulties did not help much. I was recommended to call StepChange and it turned my anxiety levels to reduce considerably. I am now recovering from my 5th Heart Attack and have had 10 Stents inserted into my heart and I firm;y am of the belief that probably would not have survived these had it not been the advice and assistance I received from StepChange. I was in quite a bit of debt and but not now

I was in quite a bit of debt and was referred to stepChange by citizen advice so i did and it was so easy and i was told what would need to be done to get debt free with the bit of money i could afford to pay all of the creditors and was given a date when the debt would be paid off and i just left it to stepChange to do the rest it wad brilliant so now im debt free and ive started to save and see my credit score go up so would i recommend them yes hole heartedly and with i did it sooner yes there is light at the end of the tunnel Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025
