Stepchange was a life saver and still is.

Stepchange was there when my wife and I were getting into debt due to my having a heart attack and not being able to work so ended up living on credit which was not good for our boths health and mental health we now have a affordable payment each month which has given us peice of mind and a debt free date. Having spiralled out of control due to severe mental...

Having spiralled out of control due to severe mental health, I found myself in a deep dark hole. When I contacted StepChange the people I spoke to showed such an understanding of my situation. They were not judgemental and treated me with respect and compassion. I honestly don’t know what would have happened if I had remained in that pit of misery. Having them help me meant that I had a fresh start to concentrate on moving forwards in trying to get help with my illness. Please please contact Stepchange if you are struggling with debt. StepChange changed my life by taking away the worry of debt. After one phone call I could sleep well again and since then I am kept up to date with statements every month.
