Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

A weight lifted.

It was a relief to receive help that helped me see a way to clear my debts. After becoming so stressed and unable to find a way to solve my financial issues I struggled to believe there was an end to the tunnel let alone a light there, but StepChange guided me through options and dealt with my creditors. From disaster to debt free

I couldn't get out of debt because of compounding interest on all my debts. StepChange arranged for companies/ banks to freeze the interest and I paid a manageable amount every month. Praise God I'm now free. They give you peace of mind and total relief. All paid off. I have a new life !! Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

Stepchange my Heroes

I was in so much debt it started to affect my health, I went to a dept to help me but with being with them for over a year to my disgust i found out they were taking nearly 50% of my money before my creditors got any money, so I went to Stepchange and with their professionalism and help they got me sorted, every penny I pay to Stepchange goes straight to my creditors. Step Change literally changed my life
